My passion is to help people change their lives in the simplest and most realistic way possible. Most of my adult years, I was quite unhealthy. My poor health led to poor decisions and down the rabbit hole of fad diets and expensive supplements.
Not long ago, I took massive action and made my health a priority. I was diagnosed as having metabolic syndrome; a precursor to type 2 diabetes and cardiometabolic diseases.
Insulin resistance is a leading risk of many other more serious diseases and having witnessed family members suffer poor health outcomes as a result, I decided to adopt consistent, lifelong habits that helped me lose 78 pounds.
It wasn’t until I pursued my Master’s in Clinical Nutrition that I realized all food is essential. (even carbs) I decided to delve further in the field of nutrition and fitness and obtained a certification in Sports and Exercise Science Nutrition with Precision Nutrition so I can provide more support for my clients.
